The term “Positive Thinking” conjures up a variety of visions in my mind including Rob Schneider yelling “You can do it!” in the film “Waterboy” to memories of all the affirmations I have read over the years in the flood of self-help books on the shelves of bookstores. I know those books. I have read them all. I was a self help book junkie. I was searching for something and finally realized I had all the answers inside me all along.
You have those answers inside too. You have to be willing to do the work to connect the dots and discover your own answers.
Many of us hop on “The Hot Mess Express” every day. Your journey begins with those tiny thoughts that pop up in your mind and continue all through your day, casting self-doubt, frustration, and fear in your mind. That ‘Inner Critic” also known in the positive intelligence world as your “saboteur” wreaks havoc with your decision-making process and coping mechanisms that usually help get you through tense times throughout the day.
Those saboteurs are keeping you from living the life you want and deserve. Understanding that you actually have a saboteur/inner critic is the first crucial part of the Mental Fitness Plan process, and those saboteurs have been lying to you for a long time.
“I don’t know if I can do this.” “Why didn’t it work out, what’s wrong with me?” “What if they don’t like me?” “What if I am not good enough?” “What if I fail?”
If these thoughts and similar ones have flooded your mind and have prevented you from moving forward, stay tuned. You can now learn how to “Get Off the Hot Mess Express” and reclaim what you know is and should be yours. Onward!
